[Chilling timelessly]

Chilling timelessly reflects our approach to architectural intervention when working with a timeless Athenian apartment—a space shaped by its era, proportions, and urban context.

 

The owners of this second-hand apartment gave us the opportunity to engage in one of our most meaningful ways of working: carefully unraveling the existing structure and reinterpreting it through a contemporary architectural lens. Rather than imposing a new identity, the design process focused on understanding the apartment’s original character and enhancing it with subtle, deliberate interventions.

Working within the constraints of the building itself, we chose to highlight the architectural era of the apartment, typical of an Athenian block of flats, while introducing modern - day comfort, improved functionality, and refined material choices. The result is a balanced dialogue between past and present - where original spatial qualities coexist with contemporary living standards.

This project is an example of how apartment renovation in Athens can respect architectural heritage while responding to today’s needs, proving that timeless design is not about nostalgia, but about continuity and thoughtful evolution.
